LifeLogs
A Netflix-Like Experience for Your Own Life Story
Our roleProduct management, product discovery, mobile development, backend development
LifeLogs is a platform for preserving and sharing autobiographical memories - giving people and families the kind of organized, navigable access to their life stories that streaming platforms give to entertainment. LambdaWorks engaged from the earliest stage: running discovery workshops to define and validate the product, then building the mobile application and backend infrastructure.
The idea that needed defining before building
Clear vision, unclear scopeThe founding team had a clear vision: memories deserved better than cloud storage. A Netflix-like experience - organized, searchable, narratable - for personal and family history.
Discovery firstThe challenge was translating that vision into a product with clear scope, validated assumptions, and a technical approach that could actually deliver it.
Discovery before development
Product workshops covered: core product definition for version one. User behavior assumptions: how people would actually create, organize, and revisit memories. Technical approach: what architecture supported the experience. Scope boundaries: what to build now, what to defer.
Discovery alignment meant the team that built LifeLogs was building the right thing.
What we built
Mobile application - Built from the ground up. Designed around the experience of navigating personal and family memories the way you'd browse a streaming library.
Backend infrastructure - Supporting user accounts, memory organization, content structure, and narrative layers. Built to scale as the user base grows.
End-to-end ownership - From the first discovery workshop through mobile app and backend delivery, LambdaWorks managed the full product path. The team that ran discovery built the product.
From discovery to ship
LambdaWorks ran discovery and built the product. The same team that defined the scope wrote the code. That continuity - from the first workshop to the shipped app - is what makes the difference between a technically correct product and one that actually does what it was meant to do.
