In a World Flooded With Information, Staying on Top of Priorities Requires a Better Notification Layer
Our roleProduct management, backend development, frontend development, mobile development, infrastructure, business intelligence
Herald is a notification management platform - delivered as a mobile application - for organizations and individuals who need to control how critical information reaches them. LambdaWorks built it from product management through infrastructure: a flexible, customizable platform supporting multiple environments and use cases.
The notification problem
Every app uses the same blunt instrumentA push notification, sent indiscriminately, competing for the same attention as everything else. The result: notification fatigue.
Important things get missedPeople turn off alerts for things that matter because the signal-to-noise ratio is too low. Information gets missed not because it wasn't sent, but because it didn't reach the right person at the right moment.
What we built
Customizable rule engine - Users define what triggers a notification, when it fires, and through which channel. Prioritization logic separates signal from noise rather than competing with it.
Multi-environment support - The platform adapts across different organizational contexts and integration requirements. A single backend supports varied deployment configurations - no platform-specific rebuilds for each new use case.
Mobile application - iOS and Android delivery of Herald's management interface. Built for the on-the-go contexts where notification management decisions are actually made.
Business intelligence - Delivery and engagement tracking. Data on what's being seen, acted on, or ignored - enabling continuous refinement of notification strategy.
Notifications as infrastructure
Notifications are how organizations communicate what's urgent, what's changed, and what needs action. When that infrastructure is broken - too loud, too frequent, too indiscriminate - decisions get made late or not at all. Herald treats it seriously. LambdaWorks built the platform to match.
